New Destinations on the Horizon

Following the success of their regular flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town, Qatar Airways has announced that Durban would become an additional destination.

Four new weekly flights to Durban will be offered, alongside an increase from 10 to 14 weekly flights to Johannesburg.

Starting 1 October, an increase to daily flights to Cape Town will also take off, ahead of the busy winter season.

Durban will be a destination for Qatar Airways starting 17 December – time enough to plan a getaway and soak up the summer rays.

Samsung virtual reality entertainment headsets, available on selected flights

Qantas has announced a new virtual reality entertainment system aboard its planes.

Together with Samsung Electronics Australia, headsets will transport passengers into a three-dimensional world, allowing them to cruise through destinations, preview new Qantas products and watch inflight movies.

Currently on trial on selected flights, headsets are featured in the First Class Lounge in Sydney and Melbourne starting mid-February and select first class flights between Australia and Los Angeles starting mid-March.
