Pop-up Pours

A round-up of this season’s trendiest drinking dens

Pop-up Pours

From an exclusive rooftop terrace to a travelling speakeasy-inspired joint, this season’s pop-up bars are sure to impress.

Terrazza on the Thames: A taste of Venice in the heart of London — think carnival masks and gondola-style booths. This Thames-side pop-up features a Prosecco menu, Venetian tapas and live music. Take note of 23 June when the bar will be transformed to  a one-night-only spectacle for Carnevale di Venezia.

Open through October

The Goring Gin Garden: A gin bar dressed as a botanical garden, Hepple Gin will be serving delicious cocktails and holding masterclasses and “sniffological safaris” in this pop-up nestled in the gardens at The Goring.

Open through September

Tiki Tabu: Another rooftop pop-up, but this time in New York City’s hip SIXTY LES hotel. Hand-blown lava lamps and tropical wallpapers galore, Tiki Tabu is the latest of the #ArtsyProjects collaborations with SIXTY. The Tahitian kitsch pop-up features an on-site contemporary art installation by New York-based designer Misha Kahn.

Open through September

Suit(e)-Up Lounge: With stunning Eiffel Tower and citywide views, this Parisian summer terrace pop-up is situated on the 7th floor of the Shangri-La Hotel — the perfect spot to enjoy ritzy champagne cocktails and savoury petit fours. The catch? This ephemeral joint will exclusively be announced just 24 hours in advance by email and those quickest to respond will snatch one of the coveted spots.

Open through September

The Traveller Bar: This 1930s speakeasy pop-up is travelling to each Loews Hotels location through 2017 while serving up specialised cocktails via interactive digital menus. Its first summer stop this year is in Seattle and then will move on to Southern California, San Francisco and beyond.

Seattle: 24 June  - 28 July

Santa Monica: 3 August - 2 September

Hollywood: 5 September 4 October

San Francisco: Open 7 October - 6 November

Munich Brauhaus Pop-Up Beir Hall: Whether you need a drink to warm up after braving the Winter Festival’s ice rink or you’re more of the observing type, this family-friendly Munich-inspired pop-up will be serving up steins of beer and spiced mulled wine, complete with live music and entertainment for the kids.

Open 30 June - 17 July
